SX: A weekend to forget! Carl Ostermann not satisfied in Leipzig!
Place 8 was already too little on Friday for the eleven-year-old, who had been fighting a nasty cold all week. In the decisive moments of the race, the power Carl needed to push ahead of the pack was just missing. After a fall in the first race on Saturday and a collision with a hay bail in second race, the weekend was over for Carl!
Coach Collin Dugmore after the last race:
“Carl was in no shape to race, but in the qualifier he had good lap times. However, he wasn’t able to transfer this to the race. It’s clear that every position in Supercross is hard fought. Carl simply doesn’t have the body size and the needed self-confidence yet. We’ll only be able to overcome that with time and race experience!”
