PR: A 6-week break for Carl Ostermann
FOX youngster Carl Ostermann has had to cut short the SX season following a crash during a training session this weekend, which resulted in a broken collarbone. Fortunately, the fracture is not complicated and does not require surgery, according to Prof. Christian Hendrich from the Schlossklinik in Werneck. He is optimistic that conservative treatment is sufficient in this case.
Carl was putting a brave face on it:
“That’s the last thing anybody wants! I was looking forward to two races in the Arena Cross Series in England next month. The London race was going to be a real highlight for me.
We had planned a one-month break in March anyway, so this could have come at a worse time. The SX season is drawing to a close so now I need to focus on my school work, which is a necessary but not so attractive alternative!”
