Next Podium for Carl Ostermann!

After a taxing weekend in Birmingham FOX-youngster Carl Ostermann managed to make his second appearance on the podium (3rd in the overall ranking) in the AXUK Rookie Cup after a strong second race on Friday evening. On Saturday the 14-year-old from Bonn had to accept fourth place as the best that could be done on the both physically and technically demanding track. In the Rookies Cup overall, Carl was able to improve his starting position for the final on 15-16 February in Sheffield (ENG). Only three points separate the youngest starter by far from Welshman Josh Greedy, currently third in the rankings.

Carl after the last race on Saturday evening:

I’m absolutely exhausted but on the whole satisfied with the result. I gave it my best. The track was just too soft in parts and what especially cost me time and energy were the grooves and ridges in the whoops. But that’s just all part of the game.

Seb Tortelli:

Carl makes progress race after race on his new Husqvarna 250F. He is gaining in strength and ability to move the bike around. Racing is the best school. I am looking forward to the last event of UK Arenacross in two weeks before we start working on the new season.
