Carl Ostermann with a strong overall performance in the TOP 10!

At the Int. ADAC Supercross in Chemnitz (GER), the fifteen-year-old Rookie from Bonn had to compete against international top-class riders from Europe and the USA. Although Carl was the youngest starter in the SX2 class (250cc), he was already able to ride very fast laps in Time Practice and therefore qualified directly for the semi-finals on both days of the event. But the way to the finals should hold more hurdles ready and so Carl had to go over the exhausting Last Chance Races which he could both win with a convincing performance. Positions 9 and 11 in the finals then were sufficient for the 8th place in the overall ranking. It has not all gone well yet and there is still a long way to go, but for the moment Carl and the whole team were more than satisfied with this result!

Carl on Sunday evening after the final:

I got along well with the technical track right from the start and rode fast laps in Time Practice. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to go this speed right from the start in the semi-finals as I was much too passive. But I was able to win both LCQs and reached the finals. 8th place in the overall ranking is of course a great result for me!

Coach Seb Tortelli:

Carl made great improvement over the previous of Stuttgart. He made both finals, showed great speed in practice, during races and couple holeshots. Overall it was the next step forward and a good perspective for the Genève Supercross next week.
