Normally, a spot on the podium is always good, but this time Fox-youngster Carl Ostermann was not entirely satisfied.

The 13-year-old from Bonn originally had higher expectations, but in the end had to make do with 2nd and 3rd place in his two races, resulting in 2nd place overall.

Carl after the second race:

Despite the conditions in the extreme heat, I felt good, but things didn’t go very well and the competition was just fast. This means now that I have to first get my strength up and then start preparing for the finals on Aug. 25th in St. Georges de Montaigu.

Seb Tortelli:

Saint-Thibéry was marking the last south round of the French SX Academy 85cc. It was super hot, but Carl managed some good motos. Starts were not as good as usual and he had to fight with the pack to come back 2nd and 3rd. He is still in the hunt for the championship with one round to go.
