SX: Carl Ostermann finishes as the overall winner in the SX4 Class!

Coming in first place on Friday and finishing second on Saturday allowed him to clinch the Supercross title in Herning (Denmark)

Carl faced off in Herning against an old rival, the local favorite Max Pedersen (DK), who has already established himself as one of Carl’s chief competitors in the SX5 Class (50 cc). Against a backdrop of 8,000 fans, the two youngsters fought a hair-raising duel. Due to an unforced error of Pedersen Carl was able to pull through for the win on Friday.

On Saturday it just wasn’t enough anymore. The eleven-year-old Dane was simply in better form and won the race fair and square with a five second lead. The second place finisher from Friday, Lucas Bruhn (DK), kept getting better and better with each race and finished just behind Carl to take third place.

Carl Ostermann after the race on Saturday:

“Max was fast this weekend. On Friday I was able to keep up with his speed, kept the pressure on and capitalized on his fall. He didn’t do me that favor on Saturday. Lucas Bruhn was also hot on my tail and getting closer all the time. I’m just happy I was able to still pull it all off. Right now I’m just looking forward to ride my 85cc bike!”
