A Lucky Escape!
Carl Ostermann out after a training crash!

Carl´s weekend already ended in the first qualifying of the ADAC SX Cup in Stuttgart on Friday afternoon. In a risky jump combination the fifteen year
old rookie was kicked from his bike by a competitor and therefore could not continue.

An attempt to compete again on Saturday failed after only a few test laps. The fact that the jump section was rebuilt and defused after further accidents
on Friday evening, is only a small consolation.

Carl on Saturday afternoon:
I can’t really remember the crash itself. It must have been that Nolan Gordans jumped into my side in the landing of the big step-up. At first I am glad that I
did not seriously hurt myself during that action. Of course I had wished to continue, but that was just not possible. All that really sucks, but especially with such difficult sections there is always an increased residual risk. It wasn’t Nolan’s fault, something like that can happen.

Coach Seb Tortelli:
I could see a good improvement in his riding approach compared to his last race. Unfortunately another rider jumped on him ending the weekend. Luckily
Carl suffered only a bruises shoulder but was not able to race any of the nights. Of course this is not the racing practice we need now!
