In the third round of the AXUK in Birmingham the competition didn’t even stand a chance. On the technically demanding track of the sold-out Gentic Arena, the thirteen-year-old from Bonn brought home an optimal result with two more-than-clear race wins.
Carl after the award ceremony:
That was exactly my kind of track. After the trackwork during the break, it was really slippery in the second racee, and you had to watch out in the fast curves. But even so, I didn’t have any major problems. The weekend couldn’t have gone better.
Carl was able to make the difference by his technique, heating every rhythm section and pulled two big wins. He will have to keep pushing hard before the upcoming events to catch up the points that separate him from the leader due to missing the last AXUK event in Newcastle for the ADAC Championship.
